1. All amounts quoted are exclusive of GST.

2. For students paying fees subsidised by MOE, GST on the tuition fee is subsidised by MOE.

3. For students paying non-subsidised fees, GST on the tuition fee is to be borne by the student.

4. Full-time undergraduate students who gain admission to NTU on a subsidised fee basis are eligible for Tuition Grant and GST subsidy from MOE up to the normal programme duration less the number of semesters of Tuition Grant received in the previous institution if any (i.e. NUS/SMU/SUTD). For students who have exceeded the normal programme duration (less the number of semesters of Tuition Grant received in the previous institution, they will no longer be eligible for the Tuition Grant and GST subsidy from MOE. NTU will however extend the same subsidised tuition fee to the students up to their maximum candidature (less the number of semesters of Tuition Grant received in the previous institution and NTU) and GST on the tuition fee is to be borne by the student.

For example, a student had spent 2 semesters in a local university, and transfers to NTU to pursue a 4-year (i.e. 8 semesters) undergraduate programme with maximum duration of 6 years (12 semesters). The student will be eligible for the subsidized tuition fee for 10 semesters (12 minus 2). Tuition fees and GST for the first 6 semesters will be subsided by MOE. Tuition fees for the next 4 semesters will be subsidized by NTU and GST is to be borne by student. Page 2 of 2

5. The Tuition Fee payable for National Servicemen whose enrolment in the University is delayed by one or two years because of their National Service commitment, will depend on the year that they had first accepted a place in the University. For example, if they were offered admission in AY2012 and had accepted the offer, they pay the subsidised tuition fee applicable for AY2012 when they join the University in AY 2014. If they had re-applied for a new programme in AY2013, they will still pay the subsidised tuition fee applicable for AY2012 regardless of the 2nd application outcome.

6. Students who do not sign the MOE tuition grant agreement or who are not eligible for the tuition grant will have to pay non-subsidised tuition fee.

Notes on payment of fees

1. Fees (tuition fee and compulsory miscellaneous fees) are payable by students on a semester basis.

2. Students who are completing one last subject in order to graduate, are also required to pay fees

(tuition fee and compulsory miscellaneous fees) on a semester basis.

3. Students who withdraw or apply for leave of absence from the University two or more weeks after the commencement of a semester are liable for the payment of fees (tuition fee and other compulsory fees) for the entire semester.

4. Office of Finance sends the electronic bill (E-bill) to undergraduates via their NTU student email account at the beginning of each semester. Upon notification, students are required to log on using their Student Link account to view and print their E-bill for record/payment.
