2013-2014Common App Essay寫作題目預覽

　　2013年8月1日起，新版美國大學本科通用申請(簡稱CA)即將啟用，新版從框架、模式到內(nèi)容都進行了重大變革，申請美國本科留學的中國學生將面臨新的挑戰(zhàn)。

　　最重大最明顯的改革為申請作文題(Essays)，不僅題目做了徹底調(diào)整，而且在字數(shù)上做了嚴格限制。新題目對申請學生的審題、寫作能力、思想表達的成熟度提出了更新更高更嚴的要求。

　　2013-14CommonApp essay字數(shù)限制在650字內(nèi)，不得少于250字。字數(shù)限制考驗學生寫作能力。從公布的五個題目而言，美國大學招生官依然喜歡聽故事。文書彌補了分數(shù)成績等不能展示的個人特質(zhì)。申請的學子們可要好好構思今年的作文了。

　　具體文章要求和題目如下：

　　1.Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

　　2.Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn?

　　3.Rlect on a time when you challenged a beli or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

　　4.Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?

　　5.Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.
