留學(xué)美國(guó)：SAT1改革后寫作部分要考嗎？

　　SAT考試改革后，SAT1中的寫作部分由原來(lái)的必考部分變?yōu)榱诉x考，那同學(xué)們究竟應(yīng)該如果選擇呢，下邊是澳際留學(xué)專家對(duì)2016年USNEWS排名前十名學(xué)校寫作部分的梳理，供給大家參考，ACT寫作也是選考，也一并附上。

　　排名第一，普林斯頓大學(xué)，要求提交寫作部分：

　　We require the submission of one of the following: (1) SAT or (2) ACT with Writing. The redesigned SAT with Essay, which will be available in March of 2016, and the ACT with Writing will be treated equally. If sitting for the redesigned SAT, the optional essay is required for Princeton applicants.

　　排名第二，哈佛大學(xué)，要求提交寫作部分：

　　We require all applicants to complete the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Test with Writing and will accept both the current and the redesigned SAT scores with writing for the foreseeable future.

　　排名第三，耶魯大學(xué)，要求提交寫作部分：

　　All applicants for freshman admission should submit either the SAT or the ACT with Writing. For SATs taken in March 2016 or later, the additional essay is required.

　　排名第四，哥倫比亞大學(xué)，不要求提交寫作部分：

　　The redesigned SAT consists of two sections, each graded on an 800-point scale and the writing portion will be separate. Columbia does not require the optional writing section. You may alternatively take the ACT, graded on a 36-point scale; if you take the test more than once, you will be evaluated on the highest composite score you receive. Columbia does not require the writing test offered by the ACT.

　　排名第四，斯坦福大學(xué)，要求提交寫作部分：

　　Stanford will require all three components of the redesigned SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Math, and Essay.

　　For the SAT, we will focus on the highest individual Critical Reading, Math and Writing scores from all test sittings.

　　For the ACT, we will focus on the highest Composite and the highest Combined English/Writing scores from all test sittings. We will also consider individual subscores.

　　排名第四，芝加哥大學(xué)，不要求提交寫作部分：

　　We require an ACT or SAT score and have no prerence between the two tests or between the "old" SAT and the "new" SAT. We will continue to accept scores from the old version of the SAT for the five years scores remain valid. The writing portion of the ACT or the SAT is not required, nor are any SAT Subject Tests.

　　排名第七，麻省理工，對(duì)寫作部分未做要求：

　　Native English speakers must take either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT; and two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

　　Students from countries where the SAT and ACT are not offered for all students (such as Iran and the People's Republic of China) will be considered without a full set of required test scores on a case-by-case basis.

　　排名第八，杜克大學(xué)，要求提交寫作部分：

　　All candidates for admission must complete one of the following standardized testing options: the ACT, including writing, or the SAT, including the essay for students who choose to submit the new SAT.

　　排名第九，賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)，不要求提交寫作部分：

　　We do not require the writing portion of the ACT

　　We do not require the essay portion of the new SAT

　　排名第十，加州理工，要求提交寫作部分：

　　SAT with writing or ACT with writing (official scores from testing agency)

　　排名第十，約翰霍普金斯大學(xué)，寫作部分選擇性提交：

　　Optional Sections

　　The writing section of the ACT is optional. The essay section of the redesigned SAT will be optional once it’s administered.

　　可見(jiàn)各個(gè)大學(xué)對(duì)SAT1寫作部分的要求很不相同，也不是簡(jiǎn)單的跟排名直接掛鉤的，但對(duì)于目標(biāo)鎖定在前五十的大學(xué)而且時(shí)間充裕的同學(xué)們，最好把寫作部分考一下，這樣之后會(huì)有更多的選擇空間。SAT1報(bào)名的時(shí)候需要注意，變動(dòng)的地方是寫作要單獨(dú)報(bào)考，千萬(wàn)不要落下。
