　　教授每天都能收到許多申請(qǐng)學(xué)生的留學(xué)申請(qǐng)套磁郵件，尤其是申請(qǐng)助學(xué)金的。但可能教授連看都沒(méi)看就刪了你辛辛苦苦發(fā)的郵件。有這么郵件需要看，教授沒(méi)有時(shí)間一一閱讀并且回復(fù)。那些不能第一時(shí)間吸引眼球的郵件進(jìn)而都進(jìn)入了垃圾箱。所以，發(fā)郵件前先看看教授們?cè)鯓咏ㄗh。教授們招學(xué)生也很實(shí)際，他們只對(duì)杰出的學(xué)生感興趣，并且申請(qǐng)的學(xué)生一定要對(duì)教授所研究的領(lǐng)域有濃厚的興趣，有過(guò)實(shí)驗(yàn)，有發(fā)表論文更好了。而且，擁有碩士學(xué)位申請(qǐng)成功的概率要高于本科申請(qǐng)者。

　　One possible area that would interest me a lot is in applying Tikhonov regularization to your problem in computational neuroscience, since I understand that neural data can be very noisy, and yet sparse.Alternately, I am also interested in applying evolutionary algorithms to your genetic neural network parameter estimation. One of my other interests in in parallel processing. Are you considering parallel implementations for any of your optimization/estimation algorithms?

　　Considering that the projects that you list in your web site would probably be very computationally intensive, that may be a worthwhile strategy to pursue.

He has evinced a keen desire to learn, and already has considerable mastery over my area of research . If I have any funding available, I would dinitely try my very BEST to get this person . This person may have an MS degree, while many applicants have only a BS degree.
