　　一、題型

　　SSAT作文題目主要分為三大類：諺語(proverb)、陳述(statement)及開放性問題(open question)。三類題目舉例如下：

　　諺語類舉例：

　　Topic: Practice makes perfect. Assignment: Do you agree or disagree with the topic statement? Support your position with one or two specific examples from your own experience, the experience of others, current events, history, or literature.

　　陳述類舉例： Topic: Students should wear uniforms to school. Assignment: Do you agree or disagree with the topic statement? Support your position with one or two specific examples from your own experience, the experience of others, current events, history, or literature.

　　開放性問題舉例1： If I could visit another city, I would choose…

　　開放性問題舉例2： How can we help the elderly in our community?

　　諺語與陳述類話題類似，題目由兩部分組成：topic和assignment，寫作要求為：針對話題表明態(tài)度(agree or disagree);然后采用1-2個具體的例子支持觀點，例子來源于考生自己的生活經(jīng)驗、他人的生活經(jīng)驗、時事、歷史以及文學(xué)。開放性問題類型較為多樣，通常有兩種模式：1. 給出一個不完整的句子，讓考生將該句話補充完整，并作為文章的開頭繼續(xù)寫下去;2. 給出一個問題讓考生回答。

　　4. Capital punishment serves no purpose and should be ended.

　　5. Tougher registrations should be imposed on buying handguns.

　　6. Voting is such an important responsibility that all citizens should be required to vote in every election.

　　7. We have become too dependent on technology in our lives today.

　　8. Education means developing the mind, not stuffing the memory.

　　9. The most important qualities of a hero are bravery, compassion, and selflessness.

　　10. We can reduce the level of violence in society today by stronger gun control.

　　11. Sports in a school should be considered as important as academics.

　　12. Travelling is one way to learn about other cultures.

　　13. Studying the past is one way to prepare for the future.

　　14. Pets provide more for owners than owners provide for the animals.

　　三、 文章的結(jié)構(gòu)

　　SSAT文章通常寫4-5段，一共分為三個部分：開頭(introduction)、主干(body)和結(jié)尾(conclusion)。開頭和結(jié)尾各一段，主干寫2-3段。 如下是各部分的相應(yīng)模板、句型等。
