二．創(chuàng)造力，新思想。 1．Is creativity needed more than ever in the world today? (2005.3) 2．Does progress depend on people with new ideas rather than on people whose ideas are based on the current way of doing things? (2005.5) 3．Can people ever be truly original? (2007.10) 4．Is it always necessary to find new solutions to problems? (2007.11) 5．Is it always better to be original than to imitate or use the ideas of others? (2008.1) 6．Do closed doors make us creative? 7. Should people always prer the new things, ideas, or values to those of the past? 這一類的題目強(qiáng)調(diào)創(chuàng)造力對(duì)個(gè)人及社會(huì)的促進(jìn)和推動(dòng)作用，出題角度較一致，從過(guò)去和現(xiàn)在說(shuō)都可，可以聯(lián)系科技藝術(shù)的例子，屬于比較好寫(xiě)的一類題目。 三．選擇，決定。 1．Are people better at making observations, discoveries, and decisions if they remain neutral and impartial? (2005.3) 2．Do success and happiness depend on the choices people make rather than on factors beyond their control? (2006.11) 3．Does having a large number of options to choose from make people happy? (2007.11) 4．Should people choose one of two opposing sides of an issue, or is the truth usually found "in the middle"(2007.12) 5．Are people’s lives the results of the choice they make? 6．Do bad choices and good choices equally have negative consequences? 7．Are we free to make our own decisions or are limited in the choices we make? 8．Is it important to understand people’s motivations bore judge their actions? 9．Are people’s actions motivated by a desire for power over others?(2008.5) 這一類的題目有些分散，但是都圍繞著choice 和decision從各個(gè)角度探討它們與人的主觀能動(dòng)性和客觀約束的關(guān)系。每個(gè)人都要做很多重要的決定，如何去正確的做出選擇，以及這些選擇對(duì)我們未來(lái)及他人的影響，都是值得思考的。有些題目可能不太好想觀點(diǎn)，那可以嘗試著用別的題目的觀點(diǎn)往里面套，找出共通的地方。 四．個(gè)人與集體，個(gè)性和自我。 1．Is a person responsible, through the example he or she sets, for the behavior of other people? (2005.3) 2．Do we put too much value on the ideas or actions of individual people? (2006.11) 3．Should people take more responsibility for solving problems that affect their communities or the nation in general? (2007.1) 4．Is it always best to determine one&aposs own views of right and wrong, or can we benit from following the crowd? (2007.5) 5．Is there any value for people to belong only to a group or groups with which they have something in common? (2008.1) 6．Are organizations or groups most successful when their members pursue individual wishes and goals? (2008.3) 7．Do people accomplish more when they are allowed to do things in their own way? (2006.1) 8．Should each individual decide what and how to learn? (2006.4) 9．Does the success of a community—whether it is a class, a team, a family, a nation, or any other group—depend upon people&aposs willingness to limit their personal interests? (2006.5) 10. Do we tend to accept the opinions of others instead of developing our own independent ideas? (2006.6) 11. Is it more valuable for people to fit in than to be unique and different? (2007.3) 這一類題目似乎跟第一類有些交集，但這里探討的更多是個(gè)人與集體的辨證關(guān)系。每個(gè)人都屬于集體中的一員，處理好與集體的關(guān)系是很重要的，但保持個(gè)性和自我也是很重要的。個(gè)人與集體利益價(jià)值觀之間的沖突，往往也是SAT作文題目的取材點(diǎn)?？梢詤⒄盏谝活惖牟糠钟^點(diǎn)，但也應(yīng)更多地把論證集中在比較個(gè)人與集體上。 五．成功，金錢(qián)，名譽(yù)。 1．Is success in life earned or do people succeed because they are lucky? (2005.10) 2．Has the acquisition of money and possessions replaced more meaningful ways of measuring our achievements? (2005.11) 3．Is it more important to do work that one finds fulfilling or work that pays well? (2007.1) 4．Is it best to have low expectations and to set goals we are sure of achieving? (2007.3) 5．Do people achieve greatness only by finding out what they are especially good at and developing that attribute above all else? (2007.10) 6．Is the fort involved in pursuing any goal valuable, even if the goal is not reached? (2008.1) 7．Can success be disastrous? 8．Do people have to be highly competitive to succeed? 9．Do people achieve success only if they aim to be perfect?(2006.11) 10. Do people achieve more success by cooperation than by competition? (2006.10) 11. Do people place too much emphasis on winning?(2008.5) 如何衡量個(gè)人的成功，以及如何成功，不管是得到金錢(qián)還是名譽(yù)，這類問(wèn)題不僅是考試的熱點(diǎn)，也是社會(huì)的熱點(diǎn)。也許你會(huì)把成功理解為幸福，但是這或許很容易跑題，在作文里寫(xiě)成功應(yīng)多參照一些成功學(xué)的觀點(diǎn)，可以講努力的過(guò)程和付出放在第一位，辨證地看待成功的問(wèn)題。
